Each child possesses great creativity and originality. We give recognition to these qualities. We look for as many ways as possible to increase each child's pride in accomplishment. The daily program is flexible to adapt to individual needs. However, certain elements of the day are fixed, as this creates expectations and the comfort of some structured routines that are so important in child development.

Socialization is a very important aspect of the Happy Childhood curriculum. Various group interactions, such as circle time, playground time, team block building, arts & crafts projects, gymnastics, and music lessons, are included in each day's routine. Through these activities children are taught valuable lessons on how to share, take turns, compromise, act compassionately, respect the needs of others, show affection and provide assistance.

Our curriculum will prepare your child for kindergarten. We utilize widely recognized preschool curriculum programs, such as Mother Goose (www.mothergoosetime.com) and Fun Steps (www.funsteps.com). These programs include language development activities, number recognition, listening skills development, matching, sorting & sequencing, creative play and art activities, alphabet work, rhyming, and storytelling. In addition, we offer a weekly logical thinking class taught by a professional child educator.

Music has always been a source of great pleasure for children. Our music program consists of daily singing in circle time, singing in celebrations of each child's birthdays and all major holidays. Our weekly music classes are taught by a music specialist, who accompanies voices on piano and bring a variety of musical instruments for the children to play.

In addition to children's emotional well-being, we emphasize their physical development by providing ample time for outdoor free play throughout the day to develop their coordination, self-expression, and independence. We also offer gymnastics classes several times a week taught by a professional trainer.
